2021年、初めての投稿です！

昨年から続く、新型コロナウィルスの猛威とその感染の波は止まっていません。

波状的に広がる感染拡大は、世界を被い続けています。

その中で、気流部の活動にとってもなかなか難しい局面の連続となっていますが、今年は正式に

プロジェクト活動を初めて10年目を迎えています。前述の通り、なかなか思うようにはコトが進

まない状況になっていますが、現在、今迄の活動（イヴェントや、インスタレーション展示、

ワークショップ等の空間プロジェクト）とは少し性格の異なる、新たな“モノづくりプロジェク

ト”が水面下で進行しています。

その一端のご紹介です。

気流部のアーティスティック・ツールとしては、初期から活用しているプロペラですが、2016年

のアートコートギャラリーでの「Kinetic air」とするモデル化作品※の展示から5年を経て、素材

から見直す全く新たなモデル、

「Kinetic air ~ reflection model」として開発を進めています！

＊プラスティック素材を見直し、耐久性、耐候性の獲得の為に、総ステンレス化

＊連結させるテグス部分もステンレス線に置き換え、曲線空間での展開を可能にする。

＊これまでのプロペラモデル（プラスティック製）のデザイン性、機能性を失わせず、金属での

軽量化と素材が持つ美しさの追求。

そして、上記をコンセプトに、制作協力として、船橋金属、小林製作所の２社に入って頂き、

進めています。

素材の吟味から、羽根部の曲面加工や軸付け加工等、完成迄のハードルは結構高いのですが、、

今秋のお披露目を目指しています。

今後は完成迄のプロセスを随時、AIR Infoで更新していければと思っています。

The wave of the new coronavirus and its infection that has continued since last year has not

stopped.

The wavy spread of infection continues to cover the world.

This year marks the 10th year of official project activities for the first time. Among them, the

activity of kiryu-bu is

also a series of difficult phases.

However, at present, a new "manufacturing project" that is different from the activities up to now

(spatial projects such as events, installation exhibitions, and workshops) has begun.

Here is an introduction of one part.

Propellers have been used from the beginning as an artistic tool for kiryu-bu. And, five years after

the exhibition of the modeled work  called "Kinetic air" at the Art Court Gallery in 2016, a completely new model to review from the material,

We are developing 「Kinetic air ~ reflection model」!

The plastic material has been reviewed and all parts have been made of stainless steel in order

to obtain durability and weather resistance.

Replace the connecting line with a stainless steel wire to enable deployment in curved space.

Pursuing weight reduction with metal and beauty of the material without losing the design and

functionality of the conventional propeller model (made of plastic).

Based on the above concept, we are proceeding with the cooperation of two companies, Funahashi Metals and Kobayashi Seisakusho.

Although there are issues such as curved surface processing and shafting processing of the

blades, we are

aiming for completion and exhibition of works this fall.

In the future, I would like to update the process until completion with “AIR Info” from time to time.
